Brooklyn DMV Offices

Brooklyn (Kings County) has two DMV offices (addresses from NYC311; confirm details and services on the DMV office locator before you go):

• Atlantic Center: 625 Atlantic Avenue, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11217
• Coney Island: 2875 West 8th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11224

Not every service is offered at every office, so check the office page in the locator before you book.

How to Book a Brooklyn DMV Appointment (Step by Step)

1. Go to the DMV office locations page and search for Brooklyn or your ZIP code.
2. Click "View Details" on Atlantic Center or Coney Island to see its services and make an appointment.
3. Choose the service you need and an open date and time.
4. Complete the DMV Document Guide so you bring the right documents.
5. Save your confirmation and arrive on time.

The DMV says that when an office has long wait times, only people with a reservation are allowed in. If the system shows no reservations, all available slots are full, so check again later.

Which Appointment Type You Need

• Learner permit and written test: bring the documents the DMV Document Guide lists for a permit.
• License renewal: in-person renewal is needed for an Enhanced or REAL ID upgrade, a new photo or a class change. Expired? See renew an expired NY license.

Road Tests in Brooklyn Are Booked Separately
