Drive Away Permit Test Day Jitters Tips
Written by
Simon M
After long hours of studying, you’re finally ready for your driver’s permit test. In addition to feeling excited, it is natural for you to be a little nervous. However, you don’t need to fret. With a bit of preparation, you can easily keep all those test day jitters at bay.
What to Do the Night Before
Always remember; a good test day always begins the night before. Follow these tips to wake up on exam day with your game face on!
First, review your driver’s handbook and consider taking one last practice test for good measure.
Especially when going for your driving learner permit in Brooklyn, make sure you have all the paperwork on hand. If you have all the required documentation, your learners permit will be issued immediately after the test.
Double check your appointment time. Making an appointment to go the the DMV will save you tons of time from having to wait in line.
Avoid staying up till late hours the night before. If you show up for your test exhausted and sleepy, you might not be able to perform well. Tuck yourself in early, so that you feel alert the next day.
What to Do On Test Day
Finally, the test day is here. Here are a few tips to cut out all jitters:
Eat a healthy meal before you leave. This will allow you to pack in the energy you need to feel more alert. However, avoid eating too much. This might make you feel groggy.
Make sure you have the fees ready. All states require a fee for processing your driver’s permit application. Fees and payment methods differ from state to state; therefore, check your state’s requirements before you arrive on site.
Don’t forget any paperwork. Before you rush out, be sure to grab all documentation you set aside the night before.
Arrive early at the test center. Being late will only add to the nervousness. Give yourself ample time to travel to the DMV.
