Why is the 5-Hour Course Required?
The New York DMV requires this course to ensure that new drivers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to drive safely and responsibly. Inexperience behind the wheel can lead to accidents, and the 5-hour course aims to minimize these risks by providing education on defensive driving, road safety, and legal responsibilities.
By completing this course, you'll not only fulfill a legal requirement but also gain valuable skills that will make you a safer driver and increase your chances of passing the road test.
