After completing your road test in New York City, the examiner won't give you the results immediately. Instead, you'll be instructed on how to access your results online.

Step 5: Understanding Your Road Test Results
Your result is located under test details. Regardless if you pass or fail, the 'scored items' section under your results is a vital area to review. It provides a breakdown of your performance, helping you identify any areas that might need more practice. Understanding the road test point system is essential for passing the road test. Each driving error you make will result in points being deducted, with the severity of each mistake affecting the number of points lost, typically between 5 to 15 points per error. A total of 30 points or more leads to failure. Additionally, some critical errors can lead to immediate failure.

- Interim License: An interim license will be available to print under "test details" in the bottom right corner, which you should keep with your photo learner permit.
- Receiving Your License: You will receive your photo driver license in the mail within about 2 weeks.

- For Drivers Under Age 18: If you have a Class DJ, MJ, or DJ/MJ driver license and are under 18, remember to adhere to the restrictions for junior drivers.
